Online Maps in Trailforks

The official App for hiking GLT trails is Trailforks. We chose it and put the trails on it because it has:

  • All the usual gadgets for navigation and recording your visit
  • Live trail conditions based on visitor reports
  • Multiple activities like hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding
  • A MAINTENANCE function to coordinate problem reports, work crews, and status

    • If you are unfamiliar wit the trail system, try Trailforks - it will be a lot harder to get lost! You can become familiar with the trails much faster using this app. It works on iPhone, Android, and your computer at home too for planning your next hike.     There are other free online hiking apps for smart phones have at least some of Grafton's trails registered. Two popular ones are Komoot (with turn-by-turn voice directions, if desired) and AllTrails

    No motorized vehicles are allowed on Grafton Land Trust Properties or Conservation Restrictions!

    Be careful of mud. If there is mud on a trail we ask that you please refrain from horseback riding, biking, or even walking on muddy sections. Erosion caused by trail traffic during mud season causes irreparable damage, creating ruts and permanently exposing rocks and roots.

    The maps print on letter-size paper.  Print the trail maps using the Adobe Acrobat plug-in print button
    (on the lowest tool bar on the top border of the browser window).   Choose Page Scaling: Fit to Printer Margins and check Auto-Rotate and Center.
