The land slopes down from the top of Brigham Hill, supporting a mature hardwood forest of red and white oak, white ash, beech, cherry, poplar, white pine, sassafras and the occasional dogwood tree. Areas of dense ferns exist on the northern hillside and in the low lying moister areas where thicker brush pervades. During early November, an abundance of the invasive "Burning Bush" (Winged Euonymous) is obvious with the bright foliage scattered below the taller bare trees. Wildlife includes white tail deer, raccoons, opossum, fishers, ferrets, skunk, red-tailed hawks, and much more.

Another beautiful beech tree, Lori Muhr
